Prior to founding Gladwyne in 2009, Barend was a Managing Director with Goldman Sachs, where he was portfolio manager on a trading desk with an investing mandate that included loans, bonds, credit default swaps, trade claims, patents, lease paper, options and equities. Barend began his career at Booz Allen & Hamilton in their operations management practice, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Barend holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an MA in Multinational Management from the Lauder Institute and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Analyst

Prior to joining Gladwyne in 2018, Jan spent 10 years investing primarily in the capital structures of stressed and distressed European corporates and financial institutions. He performed fundamental analysis for Centerbridge Partners and Capstone Investment Advisors, and also for TriSpan LLC, a multi-family office start-up. Earlier in his career, Jan worked as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs. Jan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and graduated from University of Maryland with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Economics.

COO

Prior to joining Gladwyne, Ben was at SS&C overseeing Fund Accounting, Operations, and Investor Services. Previous to that post, Ben spent 14 years at JP Morgan in the London and New York offices, within Prime Brokerage, specialising in end-to-end Operations, Client Service, and Project Management. Ben holds an MA from Edinburgh University.
